Checked before anyone can give

Payrabao only works if every request is real. So every one is checked four ways, and the money never goes to a person's account in the first place.

The four checks on every request

  • ID verified

The requester verifies a government ID (PhilSys, UMID, driver's license or passport) with a live selfie.

  • Bill matched

We read the bill photo and match its amount, account number and due date against what was entered.

  • Biller confirmed

We only take requests for billers we pay directly: utilities, schools, hospitals and partner stores.

  • Reviewed by a person

A Payrabao reviewer approves every request before anyone can give to it. Reports go to a person too.

The strongest check is where the money goes

A scammer gains little from a request that can only ever pay a verified Meralco account, a hospital statement of account or a school cashier. Payrabao pays the biller directly, once per bill, and every helper gets a receipt with the reference.

If something looks wrong

  1. You report it

From the request page in the app, or by email. Tell us what looks wrong: fake, a duplicate, or inappropriate.

  2. A person reviews it

Reports go to a reviewer, not a filter. While we look, the request can be paused.

  3. We remove it and refund everyone

If a request is confirmed fake, it is removed and every helper's gift is refunded in full.

Email support@payrabao.com with the request code, the 5 characters after /r/ in the link.

Safe for helpers too

Your name, your call

For every gift, show your first name to everyone, only to the person you helped, or to nobody. Anonymous gifts read “A kind stranger”, even to the requester.

Messages stay clean

Messages are short, up to 140 characters. Phone numbers, links and email addresses are removed before anyone sees them, so no one can move a conversation off Payrabao.

Limits until you verify

Helpers who have not verified an ID can give up to ₱10,000 in any 30 days. It keeps a stolen card from doing much damage.

Refunds when it matters

If a request is removed as fake, you get your full gift back. If a bill is only partly covered, your gift still goes to the bill.
